London
Day 1 (Thursday)
I made it! The famous underground:
Sarah in London:
without anymore luggage thanks to the hostel!
When I was dragging my bags up to the hostel I stopped for a good 2-4 minutes just realizing that they were all drving on the left hand side of the street.
18.00 I decided to walk off the jet lag. So I went on a walk and stumbled across a park. When I saw how huge it was I decided it had to be the main park of London. It was a cross between a neighborhood park, a national park, a football field, a kids play ground, a duck pond and a zoo. The pictures of the squirrel are for Ruthanne.
They have width restrictions for vehicles in London apparently
Another park
The street's backwards
Sarah sleeping. Sarah waking up.
19.15 I found a Catholic Church! And they were in the middle of mass when I got there so I stayed for it and they had benediction afterwards. How cool is that?

Day 2
I get to the underground station and buy a 3 day travel card because I'm going to be in London 3 more day. This is only good during 'off peak' times and unrestricted on weekends. I soon realize this means that I will have to wait over an hour before I can use it so I decide to walk to the next underground station. I begin by following the tracks for a couple of blocks and then within the span of 4 blocks I completely lose the tracks and bridges. I continue walking. After a while I see a sign that says 'subway.' I almost start running to it because I am so happy that I have found the underground, but as I approach closer I become skeptical because there are no the classic underground signs. When I arrive at the sign I realize it it just that and 'under way' to go under the road. I ask two people for directions to the underground and the second one tells me to just take the bus and that I can use my travel card on that.
After a little while later, I arrive at oxford circus in zone one of London. A classic phone booth and an Anglican church:
'To Let' looks like toilet (aside: they are called toilets in England not restrooms):
